A day in the life of a support supervisor
A two-part story that follows one support supervisor through a working day.
So, what are you like when you're not in Search Console?
Hi, I'm Karishma. I work in content marketing, but my real training didn't come from courses, books, or agency meetings. It came from 45 street dogs who treat me like a slightly disappointing, underpaid room service worker.
My daily feeding rounds are essentially a lesson in consumer behaviour. I take attendance. I figure out who's sulking, who's holding a grudge, and who has decided today's meal is beneath them. Then I stand around like an idiot while one specific brat eats at the speed of a Victorian aristocrat.
And honestly? Dealing with these 45 brats is what actually taught me how to be a good marketer.
Dogs and human audiences run on the exact same brutal physics.
You can't force their attention. You can't fake trust. They smell desperation from a mile away. And if you show up with the same bland, dry stuff every single day, they will literally turn their backs and walk off.
My best marketing ideas never happen in a brainstorm with a whiteboard. They hit me halfway through a feeding round, with dog food all over my hands, realising: Wait, that's why people are ignoring our landing page.
I don't care about having pristine, corporate-approved marketing ideas. I just like watching how creatures actually behave, what makes them pause, what earns their loyalty, and why some ideas connect while others die quietly with seven impressions.
TBH, if taking care of 45 tiny critics has taught me anything, it's this:
Never assume people will care just because you made something. Give them a reason.
